English Yew Root Wood Wand for Gateways and Transitions
A rare wand made from a piece of yew root wood, unearthed during some local building work that fortunately did not cause the demise of the very old yew hedge.
The wand measures 25cm long, and has the ogham fed associated with yew pyrographed on to its end, and has been finished with beeswax polish.
The Yew is associated with the final letter of the Celtic Tree Ogham and is thus associated with death, transitions, gateways and the beginnings of new cycles. It’s associated with the Dark Moon, and Samhain magic. Yew is poisonous in all its parts if ingested - so this is a wand that should be kept well away from children and animals. It is safe to handle!
